made me think that it might not be a bad idea to look into alternatives. As for cornstarch, it's a great talc replacement as long as your baby doesn't develop a yeast diaper rash (apparently relatively common) in which case you're actually feeding the yeast with the corn starch. Also, the majority of corn starch used in baby powders are going to be from corn that was conventionally grown with pesticide use and is genetically modified.
Many studies in women have looked at the possible link between talcum powder and cancer of the ovary. Findings have been mixed, with some studies reporting a slightly increased risk and some reporting no increase. Many case-control studies have found a small increase in risk. But these types of studies can be biased because they often rely on a person’s memory of talc use many years earlier.  One prospective cohort study, which would not have the same type of potential bias, has not found an increased risk. A second found a modest increase in risk of one type of ovarian cancer.
Talcum powder has been making headlines lately, but it's not a new ingredient. It's been used for centuries and can be found in a slew of consumer products, from dry shampoo and blush to baby powder. But what is talc, exactly? It's a mineral that is made up of silicon, oxygen, and magnesium and is meant to absorb moisture (therefore preventing rashes). In its natural state, talc can contain asbestos, which is a known carcinogen — but according to the American Cancer Society, commercial products containing talc have been asbestos-free since the 1970s.
Dried Herbs – Dried herbs are also a fabulous addition, and may be a better option for very young babies. They can be ground into a powder in a coffee/spice grinder, and can be used in lieu of, or in addition to, essential oils. Some herbs are great for deodorizing, while others are nice for their skin-soothing benefits. Note: Be sure to thoroughly sift your dried herbs after grinding to catch any pieces that were not finely ground into a powder or it could be rough and irritating to baby’s skin.
Zabana Essentials Dry Shampoo Lavender Citrus Mint smells amazing. It's a really fresh scent without being overpowering. All the scents 0f lavender, mint, and lemon come thru when you use it. This shampoo is made with kaolin clay, avena (collodial oatmeal), arrowroot powder, sodium bicarbonate, essential oils,  and bamboo extract. With clay as the first ingredient, I find it's great for hiding greasy hair in between wet shampooing. It's 100% natural and vegan.
Nature's Baby Organics Silky Dusting Powder is safe and gentle enough for all infants, even newborns. It is made out of nothing but USDA certified organic ingredients, including tapioca starch, and organic extracts, including matricaria flower extract, echinacea angustifolia extract, and goldenseal extract to further soothe and calm irritated skin. Simply dust it over baby’s bottom to absorb wetness and relieve chaffing.

Hi I love your website! Wish I’d found it a lot sooner. One excellent resource I’ve been using is called Care Net. It’s a nationwide network of pregnancy/parenting centers. It’s a Christian organization but open to those of any religion and very non-judgmental/non-proselytizing. They’re COMPLETELY free with no catch. They’re a privately funded program so there’s no government involvement whatsoever. They offer free pregnancy tests, free ultrasounds, and parenting classes. The parenting classes are part of the Earn While You Learn program-you basically attend a class every week for an hour and earn points you redeem in their “mart” for whatever your baby needs. The MOPS group (mothers of preschoolers) is also a lot of fun and great way to meet other moms and let my little guy play with others his age. Thought I’d pass along the info.
Redhat.......its ok little man. I realise you hate yourself and must demean others to feel better about yourself. But I have to disagree with you. I think Ashley is a very sexy woman. But regardless you dont have to think she is. However the fact you went out of your way to spread hate makes it clear you also hate yourself. I hope your figure out your own issues. Maybe you'll enjoy life more
It’s a universal truth: baby products of all sorts are expensive! Raising a new life and nurturing it into adulthood will mean spending a lot of your hard earned money over the years, but the first months are the most crucial. They’re often the most expensive, too. Between diapers and wipes, there’s a whole world of products you’ll discover that you need where there’s a new little one running around. No matter what it is, you’re likely to find it for free, right here. We find the best free sample offers and deals from around the web and we let you know right away.
Talcum powder is made from talc, a mineral made up mainly of the elements magnesium, silicon, and oxygen. As a powder, it absorbs moisture well and helps cut down on friction, making it useful for keeping skin dry and helping to prevent rashes. It is widely used in cosmetic products such as baby powder and adult body and facial powders, as well as in a number of other consumer products.
In addition to the other two baby Registries, Babies R Us will PAY YOU 10% in reward dollars for anything purchased on your registry! WHAT?! Yes, that means you can use the money (via a gift card) to buy more items (aka get Diapers for FREE!), and remember, Babies R Us (or Toys R Us) take coupons. And, you can also use a manufacturer coupon on those diapers to get even more for your money!
yoFreeSamples is the place for saving money and getting real free products – whether it a PinkBerry Yogurt, Tacos at Walmart there are endless ways to save money and get free product samples straight from the manufacturer of retailer. And most of the time you do not have to qualify with painful surveys; but you do have to share your address other companies know where to send the free stuff!
So! Awareness is key (no thanks to Johnson & Johnson, which according to prosecutors, has known of the potential risks of talc since the ’80s yet failed to share the facts with consumers), and the moral of the story is that you should probably ditch any and all talc-based beauty products posthaste, especially if you’re putting them close to your vagina. Opt for one of these eight talc-free body powders instead—with prices ranging from less than $5 to $27, there’s something for everyone. Some of them were probably actually made for balls, but hey, it’s all the same.
Did you know Diaper Companies want your used diapers? Yes! And they pay around $100 for 4 hours of your time just to have your babies wet in them. Google (or do a search on Facebook) Diaper Study Market Research {and your city state} and you’ll find several companies to sign up and work with. Her are a couple I found to get you started: Nieto Research Diaper Studies  Focus Pointe Global Marketing Research Company
It’s no secret that companies want you to try their products and fall madly in love with them. So, why shouldn’t they be sure you get your hands on their products at little to no cost to you? Afterall, the market for baby products is not long at all. If you have a child there is likely no way you’ll be buying Huggies after the child is three years old, right? Whereas once you find a bread company to be brand loyal to, you’ll be buying that bread for years and years to come. So, it is behove of these companies to make sure that you fall in love with their products and buy theirs and theirs alone for the entire time that you’re in the market for that product.
One of my first projects when our baby was small was a natural homemade baby powder. His tiny little delicate rolls were difficult to keep dry with so many diaper changes during the day. I had so much fun concocting the perfect gentle, soothing baby powder that could be used on him, and it smelled so wonderful I ended up adding it to my own post-shower routine!

Relating to our last point, we encourage you to use that secondary email address to sign up for all the offers you can. Sometimes you’ll stumble upon fake offers on the internet, and you don’t want those anywhere near your main email address or your personal information. Here at SampleBuddy.com we do an awesome job filtering out fake offers, only posting the legitimate deals that will result in a free product at your door.
Pampers Diapers and Huggies have a rewards program. They have unique one time use codes found inside the packages of diapers and some wipes. Save those and enter them on their websites (after making an account-when you sign up for pampers you will get 100 pts) When you have a certain amount of points, you can cash in for Free rewards. There are a ton of different items, and they change them too. When I reached 1,000 points I cashed out for a Dora Potty Seat for my youngest! Yay!
“At the Diaper Bank of Central Arizona, we collect money, diapers, and wipes from the public and then we partner with around 30 non-profits around the Phoenix metro area whom we give our diapers to. They then go on to hand those diapers out in one of two ways. 1.) Our partners give out emergency supplies of diapers that last usually around 2 days. 2.) Other agencies we work with take on families as part of their normal case management, and they provide diapers for a longer period of time so long as that family is in their program.”

Otherwise, another great option to save money on diapers is signing up for Amazon Family. You have to become an Amazon Prime Member (which means paying $99/year, however you can Try Amazon Prime with their 30-Day Free Trial first!) but you will get free two-day shipping on millions of items and unlimited music and video streaming along with your awesome diaper savings of 20% off diaper subscriptions! Plus, you can get a 15% Amazon Baby Registry completion discount. The diaper boxes from Amazon are also bigger and will cost less per diaper often than your local stores, plus you won’t have to spend gas to go pick it up!
Talcum powder comes from the crushing, drying and milling of mined talc rocks. The substance is mainly comprised of magnesium, silicon and oxygen, and the particles are extremely small so therefore they can easily be inhaled. For any lungs this is a problem, but for the tiny lungs of a baby, it can be particularly irritating and can cause inflammation. As a result, the American Association of Paediatrics recommends that parents do not use talcum powder on their babies.
We know that finances are usually crunched for any new parents and freshly expanded families. They need to do all they can to save money, and every little bit helps! Children are expensive because life is expensive; we understand that, and we’re here to help! On SampleBuddy.com you’ll see free Pampers Gifts To Grow points, which helps you save money on a range of Pampers products. It’s one more thing we look for when finding the best free samples and deals to help you out.
Another great expense that many new families absorb is the cost of infant formula. Even those who breastfeed may want to keep formula around just in case – it’s quite the lifesaver! It’s also pricey in the long run. With our help you’ll be able to save a lot of money. We search out companies giving away free formula samples and share the news every time, so that you’ll find exactly what your baby needs, for free, when it’s available. One incredible advantage to free formula samples is that you can try out a number of top brands without making a financial commitment; find the one that’s best for you and your baby!

This isn't the first time the company has been involved in a lawsuit over its popular powder—and it will likely face hundreds more cases in the future, according to Reuters. In May, a Missouri jury awarded $110 million to a Virginia woman who alleged that her cancer was caused by baby powder, and last October, a Missouri woman was awarded more than $70 million.

Prosecutors say Johnson & Johnson knew about the risk since the early 1980s and did not protect its customers. In fact, the first study conducted on talc powder use on female genitalia found a 92 percent increased risk for ovarian cancer with women who reported genital talc use. But still, other doctors disagree. "Several decades of medical research do not support the hypothesis that use of talcum powder causes ovarian cancer," said Dr. Hal Lawrence, chief executive officer of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
